How does the facility and the patient benefit?

A higher level of clinical decision-making can be achieved for the patient because Mobile Diagnostic Imaging’s speech pathologist and physician discuss the patient’s symptoms and diagnosis with the facility’s speech pathologist, nurses, family, and other caregivers.

It is extremely important for the decision-making to be in a multi-disciplinary team setting when treating dysphagic patients. A four page report is left on-site which includes diagnosis and recommendations for feeding and swallowing precautions. A typed report is faxed to the facility within two business days after the study. A copy of the study burned onto a CD is also available to the speech pathologist or for other multi-disciplinary team members to review.
